Too windy to run outside

It was way too windy to run today after work.

So instead I did some 20 minute like kick boxing cardio video.

But anyways this is how my day looked.

I finally woke up on time.

I was making my breakfast smoothie then the magic bullet decided to go ape shits on me!!!!

So instead

8:00am Breakfast:

1 cup skim milk with cheerios

1 banana

1 cup of coffee

10:00am Break:

1 Apple

1 cup of tea

Ive been having cravings for jelly beans lately maybe  because they are everywhere right now!! So I had 2 handfuls of them throughout the day. I know its kinda bad since its like 100% sugar haha but its better then me munching on some chocolate. I guess it was my mini cheat..Don’t judge me!

11:00am-12:00pm Lunch time:

So i went home for lunch like usual. I decided I would do some more chores since I have 1 hr to kill. So I vacuumed, washed the dishes, cleaned my room kinda…and made my lunch to take back to work since it wasnt time for me to eat yet.

1 English muffin w/ cashew butter

1 apple

I know it may not seem like much. But trust me it fills you up. I’m surprised I haven’t got sick of eating it but I really like the way it taste. I always have to have it with some sort of fruit. That’s prob why it isn’t as bad because the fruit acts as my desert. Oh and I also drink lots of water throughout the day. I have to at least have like 5 bottles of water especially since i do a lot of cardio and sweating. I need to replenish my body with water.

230pm Break Time:

1 apple

2 scoops no xplode

So I decided I wasn’t going to run outside because it just wasn’t a good idea. I run on a trail so the dirt gets in my eye and it just makes it very hard for me to see anything lol. So instead I did a

20 minute kickboxing video

20 minute core ( side planks with weights, mountain climber, bicycle sit up things )

10 minutes Arms – because it was way to packed at the gym.. I do these on demand videos from the exercise TV program. They are awesome if you don’t have much time and want an effective workout for free!!!

10 minute Buns and Thighs lol ( also on Exercise TV )- Look for the trainer  (CINDY).


7:00pm Dinner:

I had some chicken breast with like hot sauce lol

I wasn’t too hungry. I also ate a grapefruit. But I am going to get some yogurt because I think I deserve it lol

Oh BTW I hate the scale and I really don’t like numbers. But I make sure to weigh myself only once every 2 weeks.

And good news I went down 2 lbs. Don’t attempt to try and lose like 10lbs in 1 week even in 2 weeks because that isn’t healthy. And there is a good chance it will come back. A healthy range would be like 1 or 2 lbs a week. I use to get so mad cus I thought only 1 lb a week was awful and I was always expecting to see like 10 lbs off. This was like 2 years ago when i was extremely not happy with me. It was probably all the drinking I did which made me gain a lot of weight within a 3 Year period. As soon as i stopped drinking and getting back into my working out and watching what I ate the weight started to finally shed. I’m OK with were I am now but I’m trying to get the last 10lbs off to be at a healthier stage.

I’m going to try to find old pictures and post them up.

I do this for myself and not for anyone else.

OK so tomorrows plan is to wake up at 5:00am and get my ass to the gym since I wont be able to run tomorrow after work cus I’m getting my hair did. lol

I suck at waking up that early but I got to motivate myself!

Chores Chores and More Chores

CHORES CHORES CHORES

Happy Tuesday everyone!! So I was suppose to get 2 things off my chore list done last night but that did not happen. My parents ended up coming to my place for dinner and we watched Hurt Locker. So My goal today other than working out is finishing up my chores!!!

So I was suppose to be in bed last night at 10pm but got distracted on Facebook and ended up going to bed at almost midnight!!! FAIL! Not only that … I was suppose to wake up around 6am but ended up waking up at 715am. I was able to make my breakfast smoothie though.

730 am: Breakfast

Berry Smoothie:

1 cup orange juice

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1/2 cup of skim milk

1/2 banana

1 scoop of whey protein powder

It was delicious! So I get to work…and whats on the table….A pink Box of donut holes! I almost went for it but then thought its not even worth me running for 1 hr to burn off 2 donut holes. So I just made my usual coffee with my land o lakes and splenda while my co workers devoured the goodies.

Temptation sucks. But I just think about how much i have to workout just to burn that off and it just makes me not want it anymore.

I have my cheat days were i go get some yogurt and some sea salt coffee at 85 Degree Bakery in Irvine, CA.

10:05am Break time

So i forgot my fruit at home so instead i had some green tea…

I buy the actual leafy ones they sell at the 99 ranch market. It’s actually not expensive either..$2.99. But you need a little tea-pot that has a filter. I really like the way it taste rather than the traditional tea bags. Heres a picture of it:

It says Yin Hao Green Tea.

It’s probably not a good idea that i drank coffee this morning and then this ha-ha but I am extremely sleepy for some reason.

11:00am: Lunch Time

1/2 Grapefruit

English Muffin ( Honey Wheat Double Fiber one) w/ Cashew Butter again =D

Oh and it took me like 30 minutes to get to my apartment from work. It usually takes only 3 minutes. I missed the freeway entrance and decided to take side streets…BAD IDEA!!!…So work was work..busy busy!


3:00pm Break Time

2 Scoops of N.O xplode (fruit punch and Blue Raz mixed)


1/2 Grapefruit

After work I went to my usual running spot and ran about 3.5 miles. It was super cold and windy. I run on a dirt trail and it was bad! I had sand all over my face and it didn’t help that there was a bunch of Snake holes all over the trail. Well i think they’re snake holes…. So it was a lot of dodging holes and sand tornadoes. But i manged to finish in a decent time.


7:00pm Dinner Time:

I went to target to grab some stuff to make dinner. I have so much chicken that I need to use…So it looks like I will be eating chicken for about 2 weeks.

I decided to make chicken parmigiana for dinner. I didn’t take a picture but it was pretty good. I ended up making like 7 pieces of chicken and ate 1.5. Although I could of ate the whole thing I knew i shouldn’t.

I’m really proud of myself for running everyday this week. Even with it being so damn cold. I’ve been able to resist bad food pretty well. I gave myself a Target of about 10-15 lbs in about 10 weeks. Having a blog and knowing people might be reading this helps keep me on track. It’s harder to cheat when you know people are reading what you’re doing.. I hope my weird blog is helping someone out there…cause its helping me stay focused.

Okay. I got to finish some chores now….

My plan for tomorrow is: Wake up at 6am and workout… ARMS/ABS/LEGS and then interval running again after work.


Sleep late….wake up late

AHHHHH what a morning!

I knew sleeping at 2am was going to be a bad idea and it sure was. Instead of waking up at 6am I woke up at 7am instead.

I was suppose to make myself a smoothie but because I woke up late that didn’t happen…so instead I had:

8:oo am

1 banana
Cup of skim milk and cheerios
1 cup of coffee with splenda and half and half

10:oo am Break time (snack time)

Handful of almonds

8oz cup of ice cold water

So its monday at work and I am busy with phone calls and orders. But I try to always eat every 2 hours. I even put an alarm on my computer to remind me. It helps a lot!!!

11:00-12:00 pm Lunch Time

Since I just had a snack an hour ago I waited until 11:30 to eat my lunch. I usually go home and just eat there and relax…so this is what i ate:

1 English Muffin ( Honey Wheat double fiber)

I usually have it with Cashew Butter

and I topped it with slices of banana

I also eat a grapefruit with my lunch. I didn’t take a picture of that.

And I had a cup of green tea when i got back to work.

Next thing you know its already 245 and its my break time again. Since im going for a run today I decided to drink my NO XPLODE.

BTW i’m still trying to finish it right now. Its been 30 mins already and i still have some to drink. Yuck

After work I’m going to go run 4.0 Miles. Heres what my excercise for tonight will be:

*Run 4.0 Miles Outdoors

*Abs (20 Minutes of intense Core workouts)

*Arms ( 20 Minutes of weights)

And for Dinner I will be making Tilapia and a side of Veggies.


Awesome Day

2 workout session!!!

So today was a great workout day. I knew I was going to have pizza today so i decided If I’m going to eat something like that i better pay for it and workout even harder. So this is how my day started:

Woke up around 10:00am

Had 1 Scoop of BSN N.O Xplode

I really hate the taste of this stuff maybe because I have been drinking it for a while already. I hate it but it seriously helps a lot with my cardio. It keeps me going.

I waited about 30 minutes and began my cardio. I was going to go to the gym but i decided to just get on the treadmill.

40 Minutes of Intervals

Ranging between 3.5 MPH with 5 incline – 5.0 8 incline

So after that I went off to Northwood Pizza in Irvine, CA which everyone should visit and try at least once. Google it! So i had my cheat day today but I made sure I still worked out. I told myself I’d hit the gym after I got back from cheating. And that’s exactly what I did.

around 8:00 pm

2 Scoops of N.O Xplode

* yuck again * BTW it takes me like 20 minutes to drink this stuff not only that the water i had with it was not as cold which made it even more gross.

I waited 1 hour then hit the gym for some more cardio.

I just did one of the pre-programmed workouts on the elliptical machine at 24hourfitness. I used the elliptical that is lower to the ground and in my opinion is a lot more effective that the standard ones. I’ll try to find an actual picture of it and post it next time.

I managed to burn 600 calories in 40 minutes.

After that I had an apple and some water.

I also went to the market to get my food for the week.

I will post my meals tomorrow. Its getting pretty late and I usually am asleep by 10pm. Goodnight. I have to wake up at 6:00am tomorrow.

My first attempt at a blog

Hey everyone

So its been almost one year and I’ve managed to keep off 30 lbs. It feels amazing. I still can’t believe that I use to be 30 lbs heavier. I’m not going to lie. It took a lot of determination and dedication to keep this weight off. I don’t like to call it a diet but more of a permanent life change. There’s a lot of things I do different now then I did 2 years ago.

Working out has been a ritual and avoiding fast food and soda has been a lot easier. I only keep water at my apartment. So if u decide to come over be aware that I only have water to offer. I’ve also started to drink green tea everyday. It helps keep me going without having to drink too much coffee.

I’m not going to lie. I allow myself to enjoy goodies sometimes but I make sure I workout even harder to enjoy things like chocolate or other goodies.

I hope this blog helps anyone who is trying to get back into shape. Its a tough road but it is worth every step.
